For Bryden's Perusal!

This seed pod was given to me by a person that told me it was a hibiscus and that it self seeded. Bryden doesn't believe that it is a hibiscus and wants to see the seed pod and seed to see if he can identify what it is. He is mostly just afraid that it is a hollyhock. I love hollyhocks and he, for no valid reason I can determine, hates hollyhocks. I have fond memories of spending a lot of time at Charlie and Bessie's making hollyhock ladies!

Boys, Boys, Boys....and a Girl!

It was a fun photo session! I love taking kids pictures regardless of the smiles, tears and orneriness that goes with it! The boys didn't want to smile about anything and certainly we wouldn't want to have everyone smile at once or even look the same direction! Oh well, that is just kids for ya. I need to figure out how to do really funny stuff and handle the camera at the same time. :-P Maybe grow an extra set of arms??

Engagement Photos

I took engagement pictures for two couples on Sunday and one the previous Sunday. They all wanted pictures taken outside and the wind was blowing really hard both days so it was difficult to get pictures without hair blowing around like crazy. I like getting to know the couples while taking the engagement pictures as it helps me to be able to take wedding pictures that reflect their personalities as well as their relationship.

This was my favorite from this session on Friday.

I also took pictures of some quilts for a lady to use to enter a quilt show. I had to get a bit creative to figure out a place to hang the quilts as one was really large and she needed a picture that showed the entire quilt edge to edge. We got lucky and the day was overcast so we could take the pictures outside. I hung the quilt from the edge of a shed roof. Neighbors probably thought I had lost my mind when they drove by earlier that morning and saw me out there with a broom, sweeping the side of the shed!!

What a beautiful wedding! The flowers were gorgeous! It was a really fun day.

My birthday flowers!

I got two beautiful bouquets of flowers today for my birthday! Bryden gave me the one with the gerber daisies and the one with the rose came from a gal that fills in for me at the office. I was also taken out for a nice lunch and received many birthday wishes by card, email, phone calls and text messages. I felt special!! Thank you everyone!
