Easy & Yummy

I made some beer bread the other day and we liked it a lot. It was so easy to mix up. Today, I decided to experiment a bit and added a few extra ingredients! I made one loaf with some onion and dill weed and the other with raisins and cinnamon and sugar. YUMMY!

Basic Beer Bread

3 cups self rising flour
12 oz beer at room temp.
3 T sugar

Mix all together to form sticky dough. Put in well greased bread pan and bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes. Bread will be pale as it doesn't seem to brown much. You can brush the top with butter after baking if you wish. Makes 1 loaf.

My variations:
Dilly Onion Bread: Just mix in approximately 1/4 cup chopped onion and 1 1/2 tsp. dill weed.

Cinnamon Raisin: I added 2 extra T of sugar and mixed in 3/4 cup of raisins into dough. Then I flattened the dough out with my hands and sprinkled a mix of 2 T. sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon over the dough and rolled it up to form a loaf.

Give it a try and let me know how you like it!

Bet I know who anonymous is! Yes, canoeing could be included, but better to exclude it.
