Photo Albums

Put together a football comp for a senior this week. I love doing that kind of stuff. I can't take credit for the "action" shots. His sister gave me those pictures on a cd.

I spent a lot of hours the last couple of weeks researching what albums I wanted to offer and what sources I wanted to use. The possibilites are pretty much endless so it was hard to narrow the choices down to what I thought were the best options. Thanks to another photographer for her input on a good source! Currently, I am working on putting together a sample digital flush mount album and also a hardcover book. Iespecially like the creative possibilities with these.....

Easy & Yummy

I made some beer bread the other day and we liked it a lot. It was so easy to mix up. Today, I decided to experiment a bit and added a few extra ingredients! I made one loaf with some onion and dill weed and the other with raisins and cinnamon and sugar. YUMMY!

Basic Beer Bread

3 cups self rising flour
12 oz beer at room temp.
3 T sugar

Mix all together to form sticky dough. Put in well greased bread pan and bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes. Bread will be pale as it doesn't seem to brown much. You can brush the top with butter after baking if you wish. Makes 1 loaf.

My variations:
Dilly Onion Bread: Just mix in approximately 1/4 cup chopped onion and 1 1/2 tsp. dill weed.

Cinnamon Raisin: I added 2 extra T of sugar and mixed in 3/4 cup of raisins into dough. Then I flattened the dough out with my hands and sprinkled a mix of 2 T. sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon over the dough and rolled it up to form a loaf.

Give it a try and let me know how you like it!

Lunar Eclipse

Bryden took this picture last night, 2-20-08, from his place in Minnesota. I was too big of a sissy to go out in the minus digit cold to take a picture myself. I think his turned out pretty cool!

Snow, Snow, Snow

It never stops!! This last one kept us snowbound for most of 3 days and even on the 4th day, after the wind blew all night, you could only get through with 4 wheel drive.
Sounds like we might get some more on Monday and Tuesday! I can only imagine how muddy it will be come spring...probably get stuck in the mud then!

Winter is getting long and depressing!!

I actually went to the flower shop and bought myself some flowers to just brighten up the week.....about choked at the price but they are beautiful!! It inspired me to get my camera and take some different, creative shots of them. This is my favorite!
Sounds like we are in for some more winter weather, first some freezing rain and then snow, 4 to 8 inches, and if the wind blows like they say it is supposed to, we will be snowed in again. Spring must be just around the corner!! I got the seed catalogs out and decided what I wanted to order this year, but I haven't actually placed the order yet......maybe I need to do that to encourage the weather to change.
Think Spring!

Yes! I get to do "Trash the Dress" Pics!!

I am excited to have a friend that wants to go for trashing the wedding dress. We won't do it until the weather warms up considerably but I am really looking forward to the opportunity to do some fun, creative pictures. You can be sure I will post some of the pictures when this happens. Anyone else interested?

Wind chills are around -30F this morning.....too cold to do anything. The gravel roads were pretty much drifted shut again from the blowing snow but the maintainer when by a few minutes ago so we can get out again if we want to leave the warmth of the house!

Have a happy week.
